Rohit Vidwans

CO-CEO Ampere

Rohit Vidwans, BOD member, ARM ecosystem partnerships. He is currently the Co-CEO at Ampere Computing, a modern semiconductor company that is in the process of being acquired by SoftBank for $6.5 billion. Since Ampere’s inception in 2017, Rohit has led a team of over 1,000 engineers and manufacturing staff, re-inventing the future of cloud-based processor technology using ARM architecture and developing the industry’s first Cloud Native processors.

He has overseen the development, launch, and deployment of four generations of high-core-count, high-performance Cloud Native processors, delivering new levels of performance and power efficiency to meet the growing demands of hyperscale cloud, edge computing, and AI Factory workloads.

Prior to Ampere, Rohit was an engineering executive at Intel, with a 20+ year career contributing to the design and delivery of multiple generations of Intel® Xeon®, Intel® Atom™, Intel® Core™, Pentium™, and Celeron™ processors and client chipsets. He holds 11 U.S. patents in computer architecture and design.
